AssetLab JC, formerly known as AtlasJC, is made available at no cost, but it is not free/libre or open-source software. Only the express permissions set out below are granted. 1. FREE-OF-CHARGE USE OF THE TOOL Each person who obtains this version from an authorized distribution page is granted a free-of-charge, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable permission to run AssetLab JC without modification and use it as a production tool in personal, educational, professional, or commercial projects. 2. USER SPRITES AND GENERATED RESULTS AssetLab JC does not claim ownership of original sprites or other materials imported by the user. The user retains whatever rights they already hold in those materials and is responsible for having the required permissions. The user may use, modify, reproduce, distribute, publish, sell, sublicense, and incorporate the PNG, JSON, ZIP, .atlasjc backup files, and other results generated by AssetLab JC into free or commercial projects, including games, applications, audiovisual content, asset packs, and commissioned work. AssetLab JC requires no royalties or payments for those results. Generated results do not include the code, interface, assets, documentation, or any other part of the AssetLab JC application itself. 3. REQUIRED ATTRIBUTION When a project that uses results generated with AssetLab JC is published or distributed, it must include the following credit in a reasonably visible way: Creado con AssetLab JC For results that are atlases, the following specific form may also be used: Atlas creado con AssetLab JC During the brand transition, the following historical credit is also valid: Atlas creado con AtlasJC The required credit lines above are reproduced verbatim and remain in Spanish; this translation does not authorize replacing them with English wording. The credit may appear in the project's credits, README file, documentation, download page, or an equivalent section. When the medium supports links, the credit must point to the official AssetLab JC page from which the application was obtained. Strictly private use does not require displaying it. 4. PROHIBITION ON COPYING, TEMPLATES, CLONES, AND DERIVATIVE WORKS This license does not permit copying, extracting, adapting, translating, modifying, or reusing the source code, structure, interface, design, graphic assets, documentation, or any substantial protected part of AssetLab JC to create a template, clone, fork, derivative work, competing tool, or the user's own application. It is also prohibited to rebrand AssetLab JC, remove its authorship notices, or present the application, its code, its design, or its assets as one's own work. 5. PROHIBITION ON REDISTRIBUTING OR COMMERCIALIZING ASSETLAB JC Without prior written authorization, it is prohibited to: - sell, rent, sublicense, redistribute, republish, duplicate, or host the AssetLab JC application or a copy of its files; - include AssetLab JC in third-party packages, templates, courses, memberships, products, or downloads; - charge for access to AssetLab JC or place it behind a purchase, subscription, advertising, sponsorship, or other monetization mechanism; - offer AssetLab JC, in whole or in part, as a web service, software as a service, paid tool, or application for clients; - use the code, interface, design, assets, or AssetLab JC brand to obtain an economic advantage without authorization from the rights holder. These prohibitions apply to the application, not to its results. Charging for a game, application, asset, professional commission, or other project created with AssetLab JC is permitted, provided that a copy of the tool itself is not delivered, sold, hosted, or made accessible and the attribution requirement is respected. 6. OFFICIAL DISTRIBUTION AssetLab JC may only be distributed from pages controlled or expressly authorized by its rights holder. Sharing a link to the official page is permitted, but re-uploading, attaching, or duplicating the application files is not. 7. ADDITIONAL AUTHORIZATIONS The rights holder may grant separate written permission for uses of AssetLab JC that this license does not permit. Authorization must be obtained before such a use and may be subject to additional conditions. 8. TRADEMARK AND AFFILIATION The AssetLab JC name, logo, and visual identity remain reserved. The required credit does not grant any right to register, exploit, or use the trademark in a way that suggests affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement. 9. BREACH The permission granted terminates automatically for anyone who breaches these conditions. Termination of the permission does not limit any other rights or actions available to the rights holder under applicable law. 10. FUTURE VERSIONS Permission to use this beta does not require future versions to be free of charge or to be published under the same conditions. 11. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES AssetLab JC is provided "as is," without express or implied warranties. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the author will not be liable for loss of data, interruptions, incompatibilities, or damages arising from its use. Keep backup copies of your projects and verify the atlases before publishing them. 12. THIRD PARTIES AssetLab JC generates files compatible with Phaser 3 and Tiled, but it is an independent project and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Phaser or Tiled.
